Joanna is an AHPC-registered, bilingual Senior Speech and Language Therapist with more than 15 years of paediatric experience. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2010 with a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology, after completing a Bachelor of Science with Second Upper Honours in Life Sciences.

Across special education schools, private practices and home-based services, Joanna has assessed and supported children from infancy through adolescence. Her experience includes autism, global developmental delay, speech and language delays and disorders, speech-sound and articulation difficulties, social-communication needs, early literacy, stuttering, and feeding and swallowing challenges. She provides therapy in both English and Mandarin.

Joanna’s work spans individual and group therapy, formal assessments, caregiver and teacher coaching, school talks, feeding programmes, and multidisciplinary care. She has also supervised junior therapists and collaborated closely with educators, occupational therapists and families to help children apply their skills across therapy, school and home.

As a mother of two school-aged children, Joanna understands both the joys and practical challenges of supporting a child’s development. She adopts a strengths-based, child-led approach that builds on each child’s interests and potential. Through warm, holistic collaboration with families and other professionals, she aims to help children become more confident and effective communicators.
